In one week with an NRA Training Counselor, earn the three NRA instructor ratings California DOJ accepts from CCW instructor applicants, shoot your B-27 qualification and finish your DOJ application packet. Or add individual NRA instructor ratings, or become an NRA Range Safety Officer.
California lets you apply to become a DOJ-certified CCW instructor once you hold specific credentials. One of them is the NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor rating, which also requires the NRA Pistol Instructor and Personal Protection in the Home Instructor ratings. This week-long course gets you all three.
You finish the week with your DOJ application packet complete and ready to submit.
Important: California DOJ alone decides who receives CCW instructor certification. A2 Defense provides the NRA instructor training and helps you complete DOJ's application requirements. We don't issue DOJ certification, and we make no guarantee that DOJ will approve your application.

Only California DOJ can certify you, and DOJ alone decides who is approved. You leave with your packet ready to submit to DOJ. We help you meet the application requirements; we can't guarantee DOJ's decision.
DOJ sets its own processing times for the Certificate of Eligibility and instructor certification, and we don't control them. Submit your packet promptly, because your B-27 qualification must be within six months of your application.
