At A2 Defense, we're more than just a training service—we're a community of people committed to building skills that keep you and your loved ones safe. My name is Ray, Founder and CEO of A2 Firearms and my passion for defensive training runs deep. Ever since I can remember, I've had a fascination with weapons and the discipline it takes to use them responsibly. Firearms, in particular, have been a lifelong interest, and I know the incredible power they carry—both to protect and to cause harm—which is why responsible ownership and skilled training are at the core of what we do.
My experience is grounded in years of dedicated training, not only with firearms but also in martial arts. As a second-degree black belt, I've spent countless hours honing my skills, mastering situational awareness, and developing the discipline and mindset essential to any defensive situation. My training is about more than just physical defense; it’s about preparing your body and mind to stay calm and effective under pressure.
On top of my martial arts expertise, I’m an NRA-Certified Instructor, NRA-Certified Range Safety Officer, and a DOJ-Certified Firearms Instructor. I'm also an avid craftsman and have extensive experience building custom firearms. This combination of skills gives me a unique perspective on the importance of safety, accuracy, and confidence when handling firearms. I also bring a love for the outdoors and an extensive background in survival tactics, rounding out a holistic approach to personal safety.
