Riverside County CCW Class - Initial (16 Hours)

Riverside County CCW Initial Class (16 hours) for Riverside County residents applying for a concealed carry license through the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

• Duration: 16 hours over 2 days, 8 am – 5 pm
• Format: Classroom instruction plus live-fire qualification
• Classroom: Lake Forest or Anaheim Hills (exact location sent before class)
• Live fire: Prado Olympic Shooting Park (Chino), Mike Raahauge Shooting Enterprises (Corona) or Riverside Magnum Range (Riverside)
• Price: $249, or $449 for two students who enroll together
• Accepted by: Riverside County Sheriff's Department
• Language: English, Spanish or Farsi (Persian)

Before you enroll: follow the Riverside County Sheriff's application steps and timing for training. Completing this course does not guarantee a license; the Sheriff alone decides who receives one. City of Los Angeles residents should take our LAPD class instead.

What to bring:

• Your driver's license
• Every handgun you want on your license (you qualify with each one)
• Ammunition for each handgun; we'll confirm the round count the Sheriff requires
• Eye and ear protection

What you will learn:

• Firearm safety: proper handling, storage and maintenance.
• California CCW law: where you can and can't carry, use of force and your legal responsibilities as a license holder.
• Marksmanship: the fundamentals you need to pass the Riverside County shooting qualification.

About your instructor: Ray Alipanah has over 25 years of experience. He is a California DOJ-certified CCW instructor, POST-certified law enforcement instructor, NRA Training Counselor and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, and a USCCA-certified instructor.
